moving history
i don’t use my AOL Journal anymore since I moved to Wordpress in early 2007, but i’ve kept it around because it is filled with memories of trips - local and around the world - and i browse through it periodically. i knew it would be sunset soon and anxiously awaited the instructions for how to save all the posts. let me just say that it was easy easy easy. i just went to a special page they set up with Google’s Blogger, entered my info and it automatically moved all my posts. most of the pictures went along with it (some did not, but they are saved in the AOL Pictures product). so, now i have a new-old blog filled with my travel memories. thanks AOL and Google for working together to preserve many people’s thoughts, pictures and important memories. here are a couple of my favorite old posts (on the new blogger blog).
